To celebrate the World Water Day, we would like to highlight AFRICA WATER SOLUTIONS (AWS), which we have been supporting for many years.
AWS’s highly practical approach provides access to water for health centers, schools and families living below the poverty line in rural Uganda.
To date, over 7,000 people had access to water thanks to the AWS project, enabling them to improve hygiene and sanitation practices and to reduce the number of water-related illnesses.
The installation of water tanks and rainwater collection systems has also enabled over 800 children to improve their school performances and reduce the time spent collecting water from wells.
We congratulate the AWS teams on their work and on these results.
