Founded in 2014, the Wake up Café association supports prisoners leaving prison who are motivated to be supported towards sustainable reintegration without reoffending.
It offers full-time programs aimed at fully rehabilitating the individual, tailored individual support (in and out of prison) and a supportive community, a pillar in the fight against reoffending and isolation.
We are convinced of the relevance of this approach; therefore, we have been supporting Wake Up Café since April 2022. The aim of the project is to promote the social and professional integration of 500 ex-prisoners and to support the replication of the model in three French cities.
You can take part in their reintegration and meet the wakeurs (ex-prisoners) on the former Thalassa barge converted into a restaurant on the Quai Liberté in Paris.
